You get lunch, you get lunch & you get lunch!

30 Days Of Kindness takes kindness to Victoria with what can only be described as an Oprah moment, you get lunch, you get lunch & you get lunch. I partnered with two great people to perform two acts of kindness today.

Kind Act #1

Chris Burdge one of the co founders of Social Media Camp Victoria started off the day with a surprise at Cabin 12.

Cabin 12 Restaurant

Named after a camp cabin from the founders youth Cabin 12 epitomizes a casual and everyone is welcome attitude. Chris and I arrived and surprised one of the owners with some big news, we would be buying everyone’s lunch.

Ready? Here we go… Catch the action as we reveal we are buying lunch.

The response was awesome. After I put the camera down we had tons of great conversations and lots of gratitude was passed around.

these lovely ladies were super surprised and pleased

Chris received some thanks from happy eaters

surprise your lunch is free

But I’m not done!

Kind Act #2

I’m packing it tight with kindness in Victoria and fellow Social Media Camp organizer Carolyne Taylor who produces Victoria Yoga Conference wanted in on the kindness action as well. In fact she wanted to do it so badly she completely rearranged her schedule to make it happen. Carolyne’s kind act is to gift a yoga class to 15 people.

Carolyne picked Moksha Yoga on Fort St as her place to visit and we got their 15 minutes before the class began.

Tor the next 15 minutes we welcomed and greeted all the folks coming to yoga class and surprised them big time.

All in all it was fun and what a surprise for a bunch of folks that were getting ready to stretch it out. Both Carolyne and I connected with people we had met before. It’s a small world afterall Smile

So my first day of kindness in Victoria is over and I’m overwhelmed with how awesome and fun it was but I couldn’t have done it on my own. A huge shout out of thanks to ZipCar and the Inn at Laurel Point for being so kind to me by helping out with a car and place to stay while I inject some kindness into our provincial capital.
