Do you have a cause that’s close to your heart? For Dana Lee Harris it is the BC Hospitality Foundation. An organization founded to support workers in the hospitality industry. They BCHF supports hospitality workers facing serious financial burdens due to a health and medical crisis. They also provide three types of scholarships to help the next generation of hospitality superstars get their start in the industry. The organization is a kind act in and of itself, but for today’s kindness they are taking a moment to say thanks to Dana Lee for her amazing support and dedication over the years. It is “Thank a Volunteer” at the BC Hospitality Foundation today.

30 Days of Kindness 2015

So who is Dana Lee Harris and what does she do for the BC Hospitality Foundation. Dana Lee is a Public Relations consultant specializing in representing wineries and restaurants. In fact, I have worked with Dana Lee over the past few years as visited some of her clients. What does she do for the foundation? Lots. Here is what Alan Sacks, President of the BCHF has to say about her.

  • Dana is Treasurer of the BCHF and is the ultimate volunteer
  • She is generous with her time
  • She always looking for the opportunity to have make the BCHF an event beneficiary
  • She is constantly promoting the BCHF
  • She is very generous with financial support both business and personal
  • She is very compassionate
  • She always says “yes” despite having a very busy schedule

It sounds to me like Dana Lee puts in a lot of time and energy into her volunteer work. How is the BCHF going to say thank you? With a gift certificate to Spa Utopia so that Dana Lee can pamper herself for a little bit and unwind.

Thank you Dana Lee Harris, for all your work to help the BC Hospitality Foundation support our amazing hospitality workers. Thanks to the BCHF as well for the work they do. The next time you hear of a worker at a restaurant, hotel, PR firm, Winery, Brewery, etc… in a spot of trouble due to health or medical reasons tell them about the BCHF and how they can help.
