My New Brunswick adventures are nearing an end, but I’ll have sweet dreams of my visit for years to come. One of the reasons New Brunswick is such a sweet province to explore is that it is home to Canada’s oldest confectionary company, family owned and operated Ganong Bros Ltd. Since 1873 in the town of St. Stephen, Ganong Bros have created sweet treats for Canadians and Americans to enjoy. The most iconic being the famous Chicken Bones which celebrates it creation 130 years ago. Ganong Bros are also credited with being the first to produce a chocolate bar and package chocolates in heart shaped boxes. What would Valentines Day be without a heart shaped box of chocolates? Luckily we will never know thanks to Ganong. To celebrate my adventures in New Brunswick, I am giving away a $100 Chocolate gift basket filled with treats from Ganong Bros to one lucky reader.

  1. OMG, Saint John City Market . Divine. . Wow, prize gift basket is fab. & splendid. 2 fingers snap. It is tight, fly & off the chain. Thank you for the awesomeness, the contest, and generosity. 🙂

  2. I was fascinated with the information about the Ganong Co. — I have never really experienced New Brunswick, ( only time was when I joined the military and let off in Gagetown ) but would love to see all that it has to offer. There is obviously more to our Canadian Provinces than most people would know. I also love my chocolate – curious about those Chicken Bones

  3. looks like the Exploring Deer and Campobello Islands would have been awesome, would have loved to see some dolphins!

  4. Morgan Stewart on

The Fundy Trails look amazing! I’d love to explore there or attend the Chocolate Festival. So many great options

  5. I loved visiting the Fredericton Farmers Market. I can’t wait to go back and explore more of what New Brunswick has to offer.
