Where can a Muggle meet a Princess? Only one place on earth Orlando, Florida. Touted as the most visited destination in the USA it is easy to see why. Orlando is home to Universal Studios, Disney World, Sea World and Legoland just to name the big guys. It may just be the family vacation capital of the world. Finding a place to stay shouldn’t be a problem as there are over 500 hotels in the area. Finding a place to stay that offers the comforts of home plus allows you to put the entire family in one place may be a bit trickier and that’s why I’ve chosen an Orlando vacation home as my castle. Ten Minutes away from Disney World, yet it feels miles away when I soak in my own private hot tub staring up at the stars before bed. Let the magic begin.
The Orlando vacation home company I’ve selected is Orlando Insider Vacations. Three properties owned by Ken & Sarah, each is looked after as you would your own home. Before I’ve even arrived at the home I’ve chosen Sarah has been in touch a few times. Offering to assist with itinerary suggestions, best places to eat, etc… It is like having your own travel agent on the ground in Orlando.
The Orlando vacation home I’ve selected is their original property in the Indian Creek neighbourhood. It is a 5 bedroom, 4 bathrooms, 2900 square foot castle nestled in a residential neighbourhood. This is the original home that Ken and Sarah called home when they first started vacationing in Orlando. Armed with the security code for the door and the alarm I am home the minute I pull into the driveway. For security reasons, I am not providing any photos of the outside of the house or the neighbourhood.
Wow! My first look inside is jaw dropping. The home is amazing and absolutely perfect for a family or group of friends enjoying a weekend or week in Orlando. There’s a full kitchen, dining room and living room big enough everyone in comfort. You may not want to eat out with this kitchen available for you to cook in. There is a Publix a short drive away for stocking up on all the essentials you need.
There is even a welcome basket that has all the goodies you need for your first few hours. Popcorn, coffee/tea/hot chocolate and even a few snacks to nibble on.
Of the five bedrooms to choose from, I took the master. I could have slept in any of them and been very comfortable, though, to be honest. With the master comes a massive en-suite bathroom and a walk-in closet. Bet you don’t have one of those at home, I don’t.
The best part of the house, in my opinion, is the screened in back porch. It covers the pool, hot tub and outdoor entertainment area complete with a TV connected to the cable.
During winter in Orlando, there is no reason to stay indoors, the weather is perfect for outdoor living. After a full day at the local attractions, there is no better place to unwind than your own private pool. I may have even gone skinny dipping at night…. just saying.
I can’t stress how much I enjoyed my nights here while adventuring in Orlando. I felt completely relaxed yet also at home. After picking up a few supplies from Publix I was able to eat breakfast and dinner without breaking the bank and best of all I could eat whenever I wanted. All I had to do was walk to the kitchen.
Check out Orlando Insider Vacations for your next home away from home when you visit Orlando. If the Indian Creek property is a bit too much house for you, one of their other two may be the perfect fit, and the prices are very reasonable as well.
