The New Year looms large as we reach the end of 2016 and already families will be heatedly deciding where to go on holiday in 2017, soaking up a bit of winter sun or just exploring somewhere different and wonderfully unique. Now is the time to start doing some research and for those who don’t know where to begin, perhaps consider one of these four great holiday deals suggestions:

Costa Adeje, Tenerife

Costa Adeje is famous as a family-friendly resort and has gone under a significant re-branding process within recent years to uphold this reputation. There’s a wonderful atmosphere set in this quaint area of Tenerife that really sets one at ease with their surroundings, from the charming market stalls to the street-sellers wandering between tourists. Hell’s Gorge is an impressive sight and is located in the area so is probably worthy of a visit.

Quito, Ecuador

A little further afield than some of the other options, Ecuador is a perfect location for tourists as it showcases an entirely different culture. Quito is something of a mountain metropolis and a UNESCO haven, famous for its divine architecture, proud tradition and South American flair. There’s never a lack of things to do here, from volcanic spas to street festivals lined with food and music.

Madagascar

Madagascar is a strange choice but is seen as quite a mysterious location so why not open up 2016 with a visit to this enigmatic island off the east African coast. The nation features a selection of UNESCO World Heritage sites which may be of some interest to tourists, such as Tsingy de Bemaraha. The wildlife is superb and more extreme tourists can enjoy windsurfing and deep sea fishing off the coast.

Iceland may not be an escape from the cold weather of home but the scenery in this north Atlantic nation is outstanding, worthy of anyone’s 2016 holiday. The ‘ring-road’ path is a fantastic opportunity for visitors to tackle some of the country’s famous terrain, moving past volcanoes and large, looming tors. From waterfalls to glacial formations and a selection of family friendly resorts and hotels, Iceland goes all out in offering a special experience.
